About OpenForHire

Our Story

OpenForHire was created to solve a common problem in hiring: too many applications and not enough meaningful connections between employers and candidates.

Instead of relying on job postings and application queues, OpenForHire allows employers to search a growing network of job seekers who have already shared their experience and selected the roles they want to work in.

Candidates maintain control of their profile and can update their availability at any time. Employers gain the ability to quickly discover potential hires without waiting for applications.

How OpenForHire Works

Job seekers create a profile that includes:

  • Resume
  • ZIP code location
  • Availability status
  • Up to three roles or skills they want to be hired for

Employers can then search the candidate database using filters such as:

  • Role or skill
  • ZIP code and distance
  • Availability status

When an employer finds a candidate that fits their needs, they can contact the candidate directly. This removes unnecessary delays between discovering talent and starting a conversation.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make hiring simpler by helping employers find qualified candidates quickly while giving job seekers a better way to be discovered for the work they want to do.

OpenForHire is designed to make hiring more direct, efficient, and transparent.
